Thank you for getting more active together with us!

APHA’s Billion Steps Challenge makes it easy and fun to promote good health and physical activity in your community. And we're so proud of all of you for helping make the 2020 challenge a success!

From Jan. 1 to April 12, nearly 6,000 people joined this effort to becoming a little more active.

2020 Challenge Total: 1,802,740,734 steps

Let's continue the movement for active communities!

The Billion Steps Challenge supports broader health promotion efforts, including "Step it Up: The Surgeon General's Call to Action to Promote Walking and Walkable Communities." We hope you'll join us in advocating for ways to make it easy for all people to be physically active in their communities.

One way to start is with APHA's Billion Steps Challenge. It's fun, healthy and a great start to larger conversations about the intersections between community design and active living. The 2019 Challenge also reached nearly 2 billion steps!

Stay tuned for more updates on the 2020 challenge and news about what's in store for next year.
