NPHW Celebration at the Kauaʻi District Health Office

The Kauaʻi District Health Office (KDHO) is celebrating NPHW 2023 in the County of Kauaʻi to bring awareness about the most pressing health issues and to recognize the contributions of public health in improving the health of all communities and achieving health equity. Kauaʻi residents are invited to come and learn about the wide variety of careers available in public health. KDHO programs employ approximately 120 individuals in jobs from office workers, disabilities case managers, nurses, mental health professionals, food safety inspectors, epidemiologists, community health workers, microbiologists, and more. The celebration will showcase a "Day in the Life of a Public Health Worker" and offer Lab tours to High School students. The event is FREE and open to the public.
