Arts in Public Health Celebration for National Public Health Week
The UF Center for Arts in Medicine and the UF College of Public Health and Health Professions are teaming up to celebrate the impact art can have on health and wellbeing. The event will include multiple tabling activities and performances that align with the NPHW daily themes-combining the power of arts engagement with awareness building related to the most pressing public health issues of our time. Participants will experience art-making in multiple expressive forms from dance and visual art, to music and poetry, and more! Leading up to the event, there will be an art contest. Interested artists can submit visual art or poetry that highlights the intersection of art, creativity, and mental health. Selected submissions will be featured on the @UFCAM social media (Twit, IG, FB) and will also be on display at the event!
